Analyze where you are currently spending your time and what your highest priorities are.  Then learn strategies so that you can focus your time on what is truly important so that you can make a difference and be more productive. Presenter: Julie Wood

 

Google Apps for Business 9:45 – 10:45 am
Learn what Google Apps for Business can do to help productivity, with saving  time by helping with daily tasks and collaborating with employees and customers from multiple locations. Presenter: Alison Dodge

 

Email productivity with MS-Outlook 11:00 am-Noon
Learn how to get the most out of MS-Outlook by utilizing and organizing your email, calendar and tasks in one convenient place.  Learn tips and tricks in MS-Outlook so that you can become more efficient with routine tasks, find information faster and focus more on tasks that make a difference. iPad’s at work 1:00-2:00 pm
Find out what you can do with your iPad besides email and internet surfing.  With all the apps that are being developed, learn from experienced users which apps can boost your productivity and help you sell, present and process the information important to your business outside the office and on the road. Presenter: Dennis Nolan

 

Using the Cloud 2:15-3:15 pm
The Cloud is growing and can be more overwhelming than ever.  Learn what the cloud has to offer, what works well for business and how it can make your business more secure and productive. Presenter: Dennis Nolan

 

Presenters

Julie WoodJulie Wood is a program coordinator at the UW-Madison Small Business Development Center. Before coming to the SBDC, Julie was director of operations at Oriel Incorporated and a financial software consultant at SVA Consulting. She also started and ran Checks + Balances, Inc., an accounting consulting business.  Julie recently completed a M.S. in Educational Communications and Technology from UW-Madison and she is a certified FranklinCovey facilitator.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alison DodgeAlison Dodge is a native Madisonian and local entrepreneur.  She was a “graduate” of the SBDC’s Small Business Fundamentals series before co-founding her own business, Happy Bambino, in 2004.  Happy Bambino is an award-winning retail store and resource center for parents of young children located in Madison.  Happy Bambino has used Google Apps since it beginning to facilitate communication between clients and staff.  In addition to managing Happy Bambino, Alison spent a year (2011-12) working for Google providing training to hundreds of small businesses around the country on various Google platforms.

 

 

Dennis Nolan, MacWorks

Dennis Nolan is the owner of MacWorks LLC, a Madison based IT support firm opened in 2004 specializing in Apple product integration. Clients include a wide variety of businesses in Wisconsin and California. Dennis is a member of the Apple Consultants Network and one of the first in the Madison area to earn Apple's Mobile Technical Competency. Before opening MacWorks, Dennis was a commercial photographer working in the advertising, corporate and editorial markets for 18 years. He lives outside New Glarus, WI.
