What do you like about Accounting?  I originally came to UW as a finance major, as I knew I wanted to do something in business and math based. What really drew me in to the major was the excellent class structure and learning environment offered by the Accounting department in Grainger. From there, I learned the importance of the Accounting business, whether it be financial, audit, tax, etc. Accounting is essential to how the world of business operates around us. I decided to follow the audit track and I think the opportunity to look into the inner workings of fortune 500 companies through their financial statements and walkthroughs is fascinating and provides opportunities for myself to be an essential cog in the financial reporting cycle that stakeholders rely on.

Impactful UW experience: An impactful UW experience that I have had was when I was the president of Acacia fraternity. I learned how to be a strong and confident leader, improved my public speaking skills, perfected my time-management skills, expanded my network throughout campus, and gained the skills that I needed to work at Deloitte in audit after graduation.

Goal(s) for after graduation? After graduation I plan on beginning my studies for the CPA exam and hope to complete all four before I begin full-time at Deloitte this September.

Favorite things to do outside of work/studying: Attend sports games, work out, listen to music, play guitar, attend concerts, watch movies.

Favorite Movie: My favorite movie is La La Land starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.
