What do you really like about Accounting?

I love the intricacies of financial accounting that come within an organization and the complexity of accounting within different kinds of businesses. I also really enjoy the way that the numbers both tell a story of a company, and if the story is told accurately, you can really gain insight into the business and its issues and its great successes. 

Impactful UW Experiences:

I worked a spring internship at Wegner CPAs as a tax intern and I helped out with local individual tax returns and I saw the local impact that local businesses had on the Madison community and I wanted to gain perspective from the entrepreneurship side by working at the SDBC.

Goal(s) for after graduation:

My goal is to pass my CPA exams, move to Columbus, OH and work at PwC in the Audit Assurance, and start my own accounting firm. 

Favorite things to do outside of work and studying/Interests?

Outside of accounting, I really enjoy playing golf, basketball, working out, and I love camping and being outdoors.
