What do you like about Accounting?  

Ever since my first accounting class, I realized that my brain was wired for accounting. I enjoy that everything will be in balance, however it is a puzzle and a maze to get there. Accounting makes me use the full capacity of my thought process, and I enjoy the challenge. One of my reasons for studying accounting is because without it, modern business and the world as we know it could not exist. Accounting is the written history of our entire financial economy, and I think it is fascinating to learn about it and watch it evolve.

Impactful UW experience(s):  

One of the most impactful experiences I have had at UW-Madison was when I went to study abroad in Dublin, Ireland this past summer. Through my program, I was placed in an internship role that best suited my studies, along with taking business classes. My time there was something I will never forget, and it really opened my eyes to a whole different type of business culture.

Goal(s) for after graduation?

One of my goals after graduation is to complete the CPA exam. I am hoping to do this to further my expertise in my field.

Favorite things to do outside of work and studying/Interests?

Some of my favorite things to do outside of work and studying include hiking, reading, working out, and exploring different parts of Madison.

Favorite Book, Movie, or Podcast?

My favorite book series of all time is the Kingkiller Chronicles, a fantasy series trilogy. I would recommend this series to anyone and everyone. My favorite movie is Interstellar, as I love learning about space and physics.
